FOUNDING DIRECTOR, SECRETARY

INSTRUMENTAL TUTOR - woodwind, MUSIC THEORY, UKULELE, DRUMS

BA (Hons) Music – First Class | MMus Performance | Trinity Certificate for Music Educators

I am an experienced and enthusiastic music tutor specialising in clarinet, saxophone, flute, and music theory.

Holding a First Class Honours degree in Music, and a Master’s degree in Performance from the University of LIverpool, I combine academic excellence with a wealth of practical teaching experience. I have also completed the Trinity Certificate for Music Educators (CME) which is a Level 4 qualification focussed on teaching and learning styles in music education, including practical assessment, along with other CPD courses such as Autism Awareness.

I have worked extensively in schools over the past several years; teaching individual students, small groups, and also whole-class projects in clarinet, JSax , and ukulele.

I have experience in conducting youth ensembles, and currently lead a beginner band, arranging tailored music to suit the varied needs and abilities of young musicians; helping them to grow in confidence and skill - even those who join knowing only how to play a handful of notes!

I have also conducted intermediate/senior youth ensembles, and currently play drum kit and percussion whilst supporting a youth concert band.

I am a clarinettist with the Wirral Symphony Orchestra and have previously played with ensembles such as the Liverpool Mozart Orchestra, Chester Philharmonic Orchestra, and The Wirral Orchestra. I have also delivered solo performances, showcasing my versatility and musicianship across a wide range of repertoire.

In my spare time, I am  involved with a local community samba drumming group, and we have this summer taken some of our young people to Oslo to perform as a street band in Mela Festivalen.

I am passionate about all aspects of music, and believe that everyone can benefit from music, especially with the right support.

founding director

instrumental tutor - brass, strings, piano, ukulele

I am a professional brass musician and music teacher with a BMus (Hons) degree from Birmingham Conservatoire. With extensive performance and teaching experience, I am passionate about helping students of all ages and abilities develop their musical skills in a supportive and enjoyable environment.

As a proud member of the Wirral Symphony Orchestra, I continue to perform regularly while sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm for music through teaching.

I offer tuition in brass instruments, piano, and strings, with lessons tailored to each student's individual goals. Whether you're a complete beginner, returning to music after a break, or preparing for Grade 1–8 examinations, lessons are designed to help you progress with confidence. Exams are available for those who wish to take them, but they are never compulsory.

Lessons are available:

- At my fully equipped home music studio in Bebington
- In schools (where arrangements can be made)

My aim is to make learning music enjoyable, inspiring, and rewarding, while building strong technical foundations and musical confidence for every student.
